Navnirman is historically rooted in the area of Malwani, located in Malad (West) but expanded to Dharavi, Kandivali & Malad (East) throughout the course of its development. The majority of people live in these areas are supplementing their income thorough skilled and semi-skilled works, by working in unorganized sector. Some of them are having their own small business like Zariwork, Vege vend, many other buy and sell act

 

These areas suffer from impact of rapid change due to large scale immigration, demolition, low awareness on sanitation measures, poor health due to ignorance and lack of properly accessible facilities, poor standard of education, excessive drop out rates and low self confidence of families. The maximum impact is on future of the youth, families and young children the upcoming generation who are out of school, unemployed, underemployed and feeling lost and frustration.
