NSVK

We celebrate the following events every year .Celebration of these events provides opportunity to the staff to come together beyond the office work and unwind.

1. Labour Day

On 1st May, Labour Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our different branches. The responsibility was shouldered by the IGP department. This occasion was utilized by the IGP to felicitate 4 male and 4 female entrepreneurs who have used our microfinance facility and have progressed in life. They were presented with a trophy and a merit certificate.

2. International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day was celebrated by the FDP department with great enthusiasm in all its branches. Resource persons were invited for discussing various women’s issues with the local women.FDP received great response for these programmes.

3Foundation Day

On 1st June, 2008, NSVK completed 12 years and the occasion was celebrated with full enthusiasm by the staff. The evening was colorful with cultural programmes, music and dance. The staff let its hair down on the beats of the latest numbers.

4. World T.B. Day

World T.B. day was celebrated on the 24th March by the T.B. control Programme Department. It presented an awareness programme for B.M.C.employees and Traffic Police of R/South ward and P/North ward which was received with great enthusiasm.

5. World Aids Day

On 1st December, World Aids Day was observed .The Transgender Department organized a testing center for testing of STDs .The members distributed a booklet of AIDS Information and Education to couples on this occasion.

6.Shaheed Bhagat Singh Yuva Puraskar

In the memory of the great revolutionary, Bhagat Singh, who was hanged by the British on 23rd March, 1931, NSVK presents Shaheed Bhagatsingh Yuva Puraskar.This award is presented to the youth who have given noteworthy contribution to a significant constructive revolutionary change in the lives of socially backward people.The Shaheed Bhagatsingh Yuva Puraskar was presented to Ms.Sunita Bhosale for her exemplary courage in standing up for the rights of the Pardhi community .While doing so, she dared to stand up against the authorities and defended the Pardhi community for atrocities against them.

7.World Environment Day

On 5th June ,2009, NSVK celebrated the World Environment Day by taking out a rally in Charkop area.The staff took it upon themselves to create awareness by carrying placards and banners giving information about the deteriorating environment and the ways to help control it.It was a very small beginning which was enthusiastically taken up by the staff.
